Bermudez multicolumn distillation, these rums are used also for other bottlings like Kirk&Sweeneys.
I would say it's ok, still a natural rum. The bottle is cheap and the rum is good.
Paid just 16€ for the bottle. You can sip it, you can mix it.

It's not rich and not complex, the taste is dominated by old cellar (white oak). It's a little bit like moldy old wood. It's not sweetened and that's not bad especially for the price.
Light but intense enough for sipping.

Smell: white oak, moldy old wood, some sour aromas (imagine an old whet cellar), vanilla, nuts
Taste: vanilla, some sweetness, moldy wood
Middle: old wood (wet cellar with sour notes), nuts, bitter grape seeds (tannins from the wood)
Finish: spice, oak (bitterness), vanilla, old sour cellar

This is a recogniseable and individual profile. The old wet cellar with moldy wood and sour notes is very present. The wood is quite intensive and provides some bitterness.

Sweetness: 1.5/5
Spice: 3/5
Fruits: 1.5/5
Mildness: 3/5
Value (15€): 3/5

Light with some spice and bitterness. Good sipper and also great to mix with cola.

I agree on the good quality/price compromise.
Good taste, not too spicy, at the end a bitter taste keeps on your throat, that is not a bad point at all, but it is quite too long.

acheté il y a bien longtemps lors d'un voyage...
il m'a donné envie d'avoir une cave a rhum ;-)
il est assez sec, mais assez doux et parfumé et finalement intéressant.

Don't expect to much, but for 20€ its probably one of the best u can get.The milky glass bottle looks cool but the golden batch is cheap plastic .A light Dom.Rep. rum without much depth, not too sweet,a little bite at the end.A good introduction to the Dominican style rums.

The nose - while I realise that this is not great, with far too much caramel I find it strangely alluring. Again on the palate there is far too much caramel, but it marries in well with the fruit and the alcohol. I am sure that many will find this far too confected and too sweet, but I really don't mind it as the kick of the alcohol keeps it altogether.

And....it's well priced.

This Cuban Style Rum packst quite auf punch for the same priced havana 7 anos. It is full of caramel and leathery notes. Regretfully its overall flavor profile remains auf little shadow.
