Tasted at Laka Lono 4/11/22, the third of three Marti rums I tasted that day.
I gave it 4/5 barrels which converts to a 7/10 in this system.
I do not understand this rum.
The end of this rum tastes like a butterscotch lifesaver, but not until the end. It is pleasant enough, but I did sip it with a coke on the side to help smooth things out.
With a decent mix it is not bad at all. I mixed a bity of old fashioned mix and sprite with mine to make a pretty good drink. No way I would drink this stuff neat again.
This rum has nice mild notes. A greasy smell. Very bright. Slight burn.
Just astringent alcohol. Very little tummy flavor. Drown it in circle or something and you’ll get smashed.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Good toffee palate. Dies quickly. Like mixing it with Coconut Water.
