Stark doft, intressant smak. Lite för sportig och rivig för mig men spännande.

This Jamaican rum is characterized by an aroma of vanilla, caramel and fresh fruit notes of oranges and bananas on the nose. It is somewhat reminiscent of Cherry Coke. Palate shows aroma of plums and ripe bananas. In addition vanilla, honey and spicy barrel notes. Yes, you will find some of the funky notes so typical for Jamaican rum! The finish is medium long-lasting and spicy and sweet with vanilla, pepper and spices. Fine price / quality ratio.

Une joli couleur or leger.
Un nez légèrement caramel, et peu agressif.
Une bouche fruit confi et légèrement caramel.
Un final légèrement pivotant et plutôt long.
Une belle réussite.

Definitely a solid rum. Not as much eater as I was hoping for but really delicious. Rich and oaky.

An interesting take on Jamaican Funk. Dry with the alcohol coming to the top on the nose and a little bit flat as a sipper though pleasant. Mixed very nicely in Coke, ginger ale and citrus; will probably be a great blender.
Tough decision on whether or not to keep in my bar; prefer it as a mixer and the price is higher like a sipper.

Bottled at 45% abv, this rum really showed me what Jamaican funk is all about - and I am aware it's not among the more funky out there!
Nose: Very strong aromas, at least in the nose it's very funky, dominated by banana, as is the signature for Worthy Park. The other notes, Jamaican-style, are acetone-like in nature: varnish, green tomatoes, pears, crisp olive oil, grass, definitely some brine... it really hits you directly with the surreal estery bouquet. It has very little to do with Bajan rums, much crisper, sharp, and is clearly funkier than Appleton Estate.
Taste: Floral, macerated fruit, tropical fruits, passionfruit, brine, high complexity, but simultaneously thin texture and mild body - might be interesting to try at cask strength, could the lower ABV be to blame? Definitely on the milder side, but still showcasing the esters. As I progressively accustom my palate to the Jamaican profile, it shows more of its deeper coffee notes, carob, almost bourbon, but nothing to do with the "brown" earthiness of Bajan rums.
I will revisit this rating as I go along.

Strong aromas, with molasses, tobacco, cocoa powder, toffee and a slight hint of vanilla. Would drink this on the beach of Jamaica rather than in a bar... :)

Chocolate, toffee and caramel.

This rum is pretty straight forward, but it’s delicious. Oily legs, the oiliest I’ve seen so far. Initial nose is Jamaican sugar cane and molasses, and funk. A grassiness, if you will. The first sip confirms all of these but adds some spice and a hint of sweetness. The finish is long honey and pepper with a medium long burn.
No additives, sugars or other junk in this rum.
A very drinkable rum.
