Ok so it's not a sipping rum cause it's white.... Or is it? When you hold this rum up to light you'll notice a very off clear color almost between a light and a white rum. The taste neat is fruitful, although strong, it is nowhere near that of any white I have come across, in fact it's better then a lot of "dark" rums when it comes to its ability to be sipped. Mixed is where it shines beautiful in mojitos and even better in coke. Right now this has been my go to for cocktails.
Für mich zum pur trinken nicht geeignet, die alkoholische Schärfe steht zu fest im Vordergrund. Mixgetränke mit diesem Rum sind o.k., aber ich bevorzuge dafür lieber andere Rumsorten.
Good suprise with this white Plantation rum. Floral notes with brown sugar, this rum is very sweet and alcohol is subtle. Sugar cane and sweet vanilla are coming on finish. Great one !
A full-flavored, multi-dimensional light rum. Very different from your average, vodka-like light rum which has been mass-produced in factories. It's actually pretty tasty straight up, but mixed with lime and sugar and ice, it makes outstanding classic Daiquiris. Wonderful.
Keenly vibrant and well balanced. Delicate notes of tropical fruits interwined with brown sugar and ripe banana. On the palate it displays subtle spices and floral notes with a finish of sugar cane and vanilla. Highly recommended!
Clean, but not too dry with a smooth light sweet citrus flavor. In my home it's 15 to 1 dark rum to white rum, but Plantation 3 Stars stil earns a regular turn in the glass. Affordable, sippable, mixable. white rum. Well done.
sugar test- 12g
I give it only a rating of 7 as i enjoy my rums straight up,even without an icecube. To me, a rum needs to be enjoyable that way. Well,if i'd rate white rums it would be a 10! Despite its young age its an excellent rum,in the nose a bit medical, but in the mouth and throat a great, sweety rum .Sugar cane, honey,a very little bite. Let's don't forget ,this isn't a white rum,it's aged 3years and filtered so it lost its original(probably straw-yellow) color. I did't mix it,but it probably is the bomb . I enjoy it pure and am impressed. For this price,go for it,either way you won't be disappointed. Probably a perfect mixer and if you fancy to try a white rum straight up-this is the way it should be
I had the pleasure of tasting this for the first time in the Bahamas at Rum Bahamas. It won 1st place for the whites there for good reason. It is very clean and tastes great. I have loved each release from Plantation, but was curious how they would do whites. I was not disappointed.
Really good for the price, at only $20 at my local store this is a must have. You can taste that Jamaican funk along with ripe tropical fruits and lots of black pepper on the finish. Really flavorful for what is supposed to be a white unaged rum.
It’s mainly a nose of strong alcohol.
"Initially it sips quite well and is reasonably smooth but it is has a very strong taste when swallowed."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

The taste is something like a mixture of quality citrusy floral white rum and a bold dry trinidad rum with a hint of jamaican funk. Is lot bolder than havana club 3 and lacks the quite heavy fruity slightly acidic citrus notes of the havana club.
Is quite basic, bit overrated here, it is good but nothing unique really.
I would bolster this rum with more jamaican pot still rum, and then i could give it a 6
