The taste of this is truly a smooth experience. Hints of tobacco with clean finish.
I can't decide where to put this one or what is so great about it. It has a more sweeter taste than its 12y old brother, which means it reveals more honey flavors. At the same time it is definitely no sugar-sweet rum (although molasses made), since there is a lot oak aroma happening. On the fruit site, there is orange flavor noticeable.
Vanilla, orange, butterscotch and some other flavours are present when tasting. Not the best tasted, but well worth a try.
Very nice full body. Sweet end. Lambada mnamozni!!
Elegant with not too much sweetness. Balanced in the taste that stays in your mouth for a long time. A bottle I will definitely buy again. Enjoyed it with a monte christo and the cigar did very well with the rum.
Very nice sweet taste for a 18 years old rum. Easy to drink.
In the beginning its strong and full off flavour. In the end sweet and smooth.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

I bought this bottle at the Arehucas Distillery on Gran Canary island.
It has a quite developed flavour and taste. Not so much on the sweet side. Tastes actually as one would expect the taste of a decent matured rum. No surprises here.
I was told, that sugar cane from the island was used in this rum. At the distillery it was quite a bargain. And the bottle design is one of the best I have seen yet!
