Ron Esclavo XO Cask

Top rum This is a rum with a fantastic ”punch” to the mouth. It’s strong, but the taste and flavours are just amazing. Just buy it, You will not regret it.

Try it! Well balanced and smooth to the nose and mouth. And the color is beautiful for the eye. This is a step up from the Single Vintage series.

Tasty! Not the type of rum I normally drink, but not bad at all. And I actullay prefered this over the 21y.

Okay rum! If you go for the Esclavo 15y or above you’ll get very good and tasteful rums. This is perhaps okay as an introduction to the brand?

Strange bird Yes, the pineapple flavour is there but so are also a strong alcohol taste. A little strange tasting in my opinion.

Hmm This is not any favourit of mine. Drinkable yes, but lacks character and I experienced it as too dry.

Average! Not a favourite but there are some nice flavours. Like the hint of caramel.

Mount Gay XO Extra Old

For others. This is not a bad rum, but not for me. If you like the sweeter rums this is not for you. Also to dry for my taste.

Sipping rum? Entry level rum from Angostura that is better suited for drinks rather than sipping.

Rock rum. Not a rum in my taste, to much taste of alcohol for me.

Not for me, but... This is a balanced rum and smooth to drink. But there is nothing that sticks out from a flavour point of view.

Not for me. Too much taste of alcohol, there are some vanilla, lemon and other flavours. But I will not look for another bottle.

Well... This is not something I enjoy sipping. Rock’n Roll rum perhaps? Strong alcohol taste.

Good introduction to rum This is the bottle that got me into rum. Not the best in any way, but gives a good starting point for what school of rum to go for.

Not for me! Not my type of rum. To much alcohol coming through. Works well for drinks.

Strange! A very strange tasting rum with poor balance. Lots of coffe in the taste, works for me only as a drink rum.

Not at all. Cheap rum that works for drinks not as a sipper. Spending a little more and get the reserva exclusiva is well worth the money.

What is this? Fantastic for the nose and great colour. But..this is so sweet and leaves a very strange taste in the mouth. Is more like a rumliquer than a rum.

Good in drinks. Don’t try this a sipper, but would recommend for several rum drinks.
