Matusalem Gran Reserva 15-year rum is produced using a combination of rums aged on average 15 years and distilled from molasses using the solera process.

I started out with a few sips neat - it was ok, but not one of my favorites. I then tried another round with a couple ice cubes. This seemed to mask most of the flavors and all I tasted was the alcohol - not very good. I finally mixed it with some ginger ale and this seemed to work fine. However I can mix a much cheaper rum with my ginger ale and it is just as good.

I think you can get much nicer rum for this price. Haven't provide anything what would catch my attention in this bottle. By saying this I don't want to sound like this is some garbage, still decent rum, just you can get better.

Very nice rum. Sweet and litle bit spicy. This is very good party rum for me.

Rien à dire de plus !

5/10, prix un peu trop cher pour la qualité du produit

So happy to have found it on sale with my student budget. Still the great quality I expect from Matusalem. Very smooth, slightly sweet, no overwhelming wood.

Starker rum .
Könnt vieleicht ein bischen mehr mild und süss sein .
Aroma sehr gut .
Mein lieblins rum für cocktails.

This is a great value rum; at only 40 bucks I usually find myself drinking this as an everyday rum.
It's smooth and tasty and maybe the only negative comment is; it doesn't have much depth.

It's smooth to the pallet, but very standard. Muscovado, molasses, vanilla, a hint of oranges. Very strong and a little awkward alcohol smell when you first meet the glass. I think I'd rather use this as a mixer or to do rum raisins for ice cream. Kind of disappointing since this 15 year old cost a bit and is supposed to be one of their flagships...

Very sweet with vanilla flavor no complexity and no aftertaste. Square and simple, good exemple of solera method. Good for beginners and to finish a dinner but no more. Need to taste 18Y & 23Y to refine my assessment of Matusalem rum.

Smells and tastes of oak, caramel, spice, with a touch of honey. Aftertaste is a little harsh, but not too bad.
