Rum tasting with my good old buddy in Amsterdam during the global lockdown continued onwards with Coronation Khukri. Fancy and unique bottle and label design. Mahogany color. Strong spice mix and plenty of unaged alcohol to your nose and palate when neat sipped. Harsh and very artificial burn at the end. Nice to try but I will never seek this rum again.

Yes Nepal, home of the highest summit, Mount Everest! Home to a fine rum! You got it and displayed in a nice limited edition Sword presentation. Flavorful, distinct and complex with a nice mahogany color KHUKRI CORONATION XXX really delivers a fine rum to be sipped straight up. Nice centerpiece for rum connoisseurs and collectors alike.

Not only the bottle design but the whole thing interesting, a special taste like aged arrakh, or myers's with a bit more funk.

Un gout trop astringent et un vieillissement qui est mal maitrisé qui donne un boisé humide que le caramel ne suffit pas à couvrir. Encore une déception de rhum d'Asie.

Un vrai coup de coeur, certe pas le plus grand des rhums, mais un vrai régal caramelisé, une belle robe bien ambré et une superbe bouteille qui a de la gueule

The spirits coming off this rum were like fumes. Worse, the taste, while having potential, felt and tested watered down. Not worth the nose burn.

It's nice to have something different on the shelf and the rum is quite enjoyable too!

A gift by a couple from India maybe 10 years ago. I was reluctant to open it because it made such an impression on the shelf. But since I was told it was a sipping rum, it was doomed. Quite good in color, buttered caramel flavor and very smooth finish. Pleasant surprise but looking at the bottle, it's probably very expensive.
