This is the first aged rum I'd come across. I tried it while in Jamaica on a cruise and absolutely loved it. Bought a few small bottles to bring back. I've been hooked on aged rum ever since. This one is pretty smooth with a bit of a harsh finish, but the flavors are outstanding. Not your typical rum with strong sweetness. This is refreshingly flavorful. Unique to say the least.

I will say 1st off that Jamaican style rum is not a style I gravitate to. Generally speaking I would (almost) never find myself sipping Jamaican style of rum. That said in mixed rum cocktails where you need a rum to fortify and blend disparate flavors together I find this rum to be great. I make my Mai Tai's with four VERY different flavors of rum and this is the rum that I feel really acts as a bridge between the dark rum and the can-be-overbearing Rhum Agricola Blanc.

Bottom line is it is a good utility rum for use in cocktails.

This is my go to rum for rum & coke. It's a slight step-up from most mainstream rums that taste "cheap". It's not overly sweet and well balanced for the price. I always keep a handle in my bar.

Bought a 5 mL for fun. Maybe I'm spoilt from drinking better stuff, like Zacapa 23 and Diplomatico single vintage, but this just doesn't taste like another glass.

Olor caracterΓstico de la Familia Appleton, plΓ‘stico, vainilla con poco cuerpo. Mezclado con cola mantiene su sabor caracterΓstico. No mucho que reclamar por el precio que se paga

It's the best young Jamaican rum on the market. No matter what I try, I keep coming back. It's smooth, sweet and orangy with an addictive oaky touch. One shouldn't hesitate to buy this in quantity.

This one has an almost single malt flavour reminiscence of Glenmorangie original at first, then you get rewarded with a smoother burn and rummy caramel flavours. Nice straight or with cola.

Initially loved this rum but then I realized there were better rums out there. Still a good fallback.

This is OK as a mixer rum or consumed with coke but completely dreadful as straight up or on the rocks rum... Appleton highly priced and over rated

Ill state up front I like to mix my drinks. This one is (was?) the perfect blend for that purpose and notes of the rum steer through the coke.Have rated this down after the latest bottle which seems harsher than prior bottles and the molasses flavour seems overwhelmed by the harshness of the spirit. Have they added more younger rums?

I'm so use to spiced rums that this caught me off guard. Taking a leap on this bottle was a good idea. Awesome mixer just wish I didn't run out of juice!
