This is the first aged rum I'd come across. I tried it while in Jamaica on a cruise and absolutely loved it. Bought a few small bottles to bring back. I've been hooked on aged rum ever since. This one is pretty smooth with a bit of a harsh finish, but the flavors are outstanding. Not your typical rum with strong sweetness. This is refreshingly flavorful. Unique to say the least.

The flavor is complex if not confusing and that is the fun about this particular rum. It's not a "great" rum but still falls into the "Very good" rum category and is worth trying. I also think being a Reserve Rum made from Appleton the bar was set pretty high.

When I first tasted this, I was confused. I couldn't seem to pinpoint the flavors, yet it felt familiar. Overall, it was a good rum on the rocks, however, it had an odd flavor profile that I just didn't fall in love with.

Pour le prix et le look de la bouteille. C'est le rhum pour mes Cuba libre. Pas assez de qualitΓ© pour Γͺtre bu sec. La sensation de brΓ»lure est trop prΓ©sente.

Very nice with a little bit of coke and a lot of lime! Also enjoyable straight but it was a bit too harsh for me. All in all a good rum but I'd love to try the darker and older ones of this brand.

Very good and rugged at the first taste but after that is a plasture to drink

A very good rum considering the price. There's a little less complexity compared to the 12 year old, but as it's older brother it's not overly (artificially) sweetened and therefore quite fitting to my (whisky drinker) profile.

A mix of 10 & 5 year old rums gives this an average age of 7.5 but my ranking is closer to 6.5 which I rounded up to a 7. This is a well liked mixing drink at my bar. I think it makes a better substitute for Lamb's Palm Breeze in any mixed drink. Not sure cola is best served with this one. Rather a Caribbean Cocktail with a lower cost than the top shelf alternatives.

Realy good taste. You should try it. Don't suit everyone but I like it.

Je ne suis pas un grand fan de rhum Appleton, correct pour les mix drinks.
