A classic case of commercial rum. Can be bought in every supermarket, is cheap and is mass produced. Good for your mojito or cuba libre, but no win. It gets the job done, but it won't surprise you, and it won't be something special. Boring, mediocre, not good.

Nose: Quite harsh. This is not much of a factor though because you're not going to be sipping this.
Feel: Very oily.
Taste: A little bitter then getting sweeter towards the end. Little aftertaste.
Presentation: Very recognizable bottle. Nothing special.
Price: 38 CAD for a 1.14L bottle. Too much for what it is.

I normally pass this one over and go for a cleaner tasting DR rum like a Brugal or the 3-year Havana Club, which I had yet to review but is a much more interesting rum especially in Mojito.

When I need a lot of white rum and the taste is going to be masked by something sweet anyway I can use something cheaper like Captain Morgan White.

So this rum is really in the middle in terms of quality and as such it isn't good enough at anything to get used much.

This is purely for cocktails. Better have Anejo 3.

This rum's flavor contains fruit, citrus, flower notes and vanilla. Superb mixer.

A slightly better alternative to Bacardi white rum but still lacks and significant features as do most white rums.

I like the clean taste of this rum, but it needs to be mix for full affect. I drank this with various fruit juices in Aruba. It is also a high priced alternative to Bacardi Superior in a Cuba Libre or a mojito.

There is really something lacking in this one...seems to have been a rushed recipe. Not alot going for it with the exception of a good fire starter.

Havana Club is a basic and honest white rum. Not much to say, it's good for cocktails only.

Not a fan. Some bars in Europe only have this and I will opt for some other type of drink.
