Cuba | Aged | 40% ABV

Havana Club 7-Year Rum is distilled from fermented molasses and aged in charred white oak barrels for seven years.

Havana Club rum is still made in Cuba - where the company was founded by José Arechabala in 1878 and then nationalized in 1959 after the Cuban Revolution. Havana Club is now jointly owned by Pernod Ricard and the Cuban government.

Fully possible to enjoy on the rocks, but better in a cocktail

All around good rum for mixers and good sipper with a cigar. Not available in the US, but available in duty-free ports outside the US. If you choose to bring it home (US). Beware it may be taken away or come with a fine until the laws are changed.

Good to drink with a mixer but not one I'd have straight up.

I got this in Panama and the stamp on the bottle states Cuban but it looks similar to the one available in the U.S. I never tried it in the U.S. so I might have to do so when I return to see if there's any difference. At first it had tabacco and leather notes but at first a noticeably lower quality compared to the Maestro. But this 7yr rum came alive after half the bottle sat for 2 weeks. OMG! It now has a very noticeable dark chocolate flavor that wasn't there before. It now blows the Maestro away. This 7yr sells for $21 vs the Maestro at $44 again,, in Panama.

There is a hint of fruits and toffee if you assist yourself with some strained imagination. Goes well with Coke.

It does posses the typical Havana Club sugar cane taste, what makes it a decent rum.

It is smooth with taste of oak and molasses that makes drinking wonderful experience. Drink it constantly on my 10 and 7 day trips to Mexico. Wish available for sale in US.

Havana and Bacardi are probably the most commercial rum brands ever. Some bottles are good, but for mixing not for sipping. This rum is very good for mixing (one of Havan’s best) but I find it poor for sipping
