Barcelo Imperial Onyx

I’m not sure what the difference is between this and the regular version. It’s a bit smoother and sweeter but with some complexity lost. The regular is better

I find the Barcelo Imperial (less expensive by $10 at least here in Ont. Can.) to be better. I found the "Onyx" rum rather heavier on the palette than I prefer. The bottle looks sharp though and I won't hesitate to buy it again.

Great smell, taste too sharp... What else to say...

Interesting find at the same price of regular imperial. More complete perhaps and full bodied. Strong burnt. Not my favorite but still good to sip

Full body taste, sweet. Flavour of vanilla, oak and raisins. Good to have on the shelf. Should be a Standard.

Very nice bottle, looks nice on my bar shelve. Love this rum, Smooth, lot of flavours.

I can not understand why this is not more popular..
Much milder than normal Barcelo imperial and tasteful.
On the palate, butterly honey, caramel and some vanilla.
It is defferent from "premium blend 30 aniversary" but this is amazing one.

If you like the regular Ron Barcelo, you should give this a try. I supposed it is very similar to the regular one, but much deeper flavours and sweeter, absolutely delicious to sip.
One word of warning, as glamorous as the Black bottle is, it is an absolute nightmare to pour from, spillage every single time, so bad that I had to decant it into another bottle. I might have given it a 9 if not for this problem.
