Slowly been working my way through my bottle. It has a gorgeous amber hue and amazing flavor. First sip always washes over me with a calm. Slight spice to it, almost a black paper spice. Medium heat that warms its way through you. Nice length to the finish. I prefer mine neat.

I always try to discover the layers of a rum, but I was unable to find anything in this. It's not bad, one can drink it on rocks or even neat, but at this price you could get several better ones.

A smooth, enjoyable rum with a definite hint of coconut. So much so that this is reminiscent of a good Sri Lankan Arrack

One word.... SMOOTH. This starts off smelling of molasses, vanilla, coconut and apricot. The taste lives up to the smell and has a very nice finish due to being aged in oak casks. Great stuff neat or with 1 cube.

I absolutely love Flor de Cana 12 I find it easily sipped or mixed with cola / smooth not to sweet
Have to say The original Flor De Cana 12 was what set me on a journey of rum discovery and I’m glad it did I have tried a lot great rums and some not so great , revisited the new 12 and I still think it’s a good rum but wow I don’t find it the same as the old hood but not great a good mixer
I feel if you haven’t tried it for the price you should just to keep your rum journey going

This is one of few rums I always gladly come back to after some tastings. I cant find a single thing I dont like about this rum. Perfectly balanced, always will have a special place in my cabinet.

Interesting taste, strong and opulent. A bit invasive in the beginning but it calms down to a more obedient rum after some time, giving in the full vanilla and toffee aroma. Hints of citrus, chocolate and coffee can be found as well. Aftertaste is strong and long, but the aroma dissapeare leaving only the harshest body behind

This rum would qualify as a “true” premium rum, but there are a lot of them that are better. I tried this on a recommendation from Total Wine. Got it home and was disappointed. It could not stand side-by-side with my favorite rums.
