A 30-year old, ultra-luxury rum aged in a single barrel since 1988. Flor de Caña V Generaciones is an exceptionally rare liquid in a beautifully packaged bottle, it features the signatures of the five family generations behind Flor de Caña, a bottle cap made from volcanic rock and a replica of the iconic 1902 volcano postal stamp of Nicaragua. Best enjoyed served neat.

This is one of the best of this series. I can see myself drinking this
I'm usually more a whisky drinker and i must admit that I'm not very experienced with Rum. But I had to occasion to compare the 25Y & 30Y (1988, single cask)
both rum's are really smooth with lots of vanilla. But the 30Y has more 'deepness. And is my personal favorite. But as a whisky drinker I'm positivly suprised with both rums!

Finally found it! 9 out of 10
Finally found in cafe la trova in miami
On the nose: Slight burn on the nose hint of caramel and vanilla notes.
Taste: there is a sudden change up from not too sweet caramel to this peppery kick that end with a burning sensation on the lips. Think if zacapa (but with actial complexity) finished like a Jamaican pot still (like a worthy park).
Finish: coffee? There’s this nutty finish taste before the long lasting peppery burn
Definitely a top notch rum a bit pricey and a bit too much burn for a 30year old (compared to a zafra 30 for instance), surprised it wasn’t overly sweet like all the other flor de caña expressions
