A sugar-free 12-year old, ultra premium rum that is sustainably produced (Carbon Neutral & Fair Trade certified). From a 5th generation family estate, it is naturally aged without artificial ingredients, distilled 100% with renewable energy and KOSHER certified. A full-bodied rum with a long and smooth finish that lingers in the palate. Best enjoyed in a Rum Old Fashioned or with a splash of premium sparkling water or ginger ale and an orange twist.

It is very good rum, but in need to sit min 10min in glas, better steamed one.
Taste is just wooden, no bad aftertaste, but in my opinion it needs a liitle sugar to add.
I´we improoved it wit 3/4 teaspoon of sugar and it really helped a lot, still not sweet, but smoother.
P.S. use cane sugar ofcourse.

I wasn't sure about this one at first. Poured neat, there are hints of toffee and caramel apple, but also a bit of a medicinal quality to the aroma. It has a light mouth-feel, but a full flavor of rum a caramel. Very little sweetness, but also very little burn. This would pair nicely with a Fuente Maduro.
Placut la gust, miros si culoare, aromat, cred ca este pus in valoare doar daca este consumat sec.
Silk and smooth taste. Caramel and honey taste. Good finish. This one was a gift from a friend. Realy enjoy it.
After reading some of the reviews here I was expecting something on par with a 5-7 years old Havana Club, but mellower/drier. And that is exactly what I had, but much much more mellower.
What I had was a rum that lacked flavour (almost seemed diluted with water), lacked sweetness, lacked character... The aroma was like a decent aged rum but quite diluted.
For $40CAD at the LCBO, splurge another $2 and get a much better Appleton Estate 12.
Not m'y type. No punch or spécial taste that attracted me. But still à good quality rum tough
Nice and complex rum with a lot of layers to discover.
'smooth and full of fruit and nut flavors'
"Flor de Cana 12-Year rum review by The Ultimate Rum Guide"
There is very little astringency or “booze” noted in the nose.
"A sip reveals a very smooth yet spicy rum. There is very little burn it tingles on the lips and tongue for a long time. It is a long finish."

The rum is overall unadulterated and honest, but there is some kind of strange herbal bitterness in the aftertaste, which got quite pronounced and annoying as I went through the bottle in a few weeks. Yes it is reasonably smooth, spicy, smoky and all that, but somehow it just missed it with me as a sipper. Maybe the first rum I would appreciate to actually have some sugar added. Good with coke.
