Whether you mix or sip I think this could appeal. It's light colour does not elude to much. The smokey whiskey aromas hides a naturally sweet fruity taste hit that quickly fades back to that dry woody aftertaste making you go back for more quicker than usual. It's much smoother than any other 5 year that I've ever had. It's elegance in simplicity and would go well in most situations
This is a pretty clean, neutral rum. Not a whole lot going on, but still smooth and easy drinking
V chuti karamel, hrozienka, alkohol. 5 rokov zrenia. Na mΕa prilis iednoduchy, je chutnΓ½, ale plytky, v porovnanΓ s Doorly's 5 mu viac ako 6+ nemΓ΄ΕΎem dat.
Certainly drinkable, enjoyable rum. Pleasant molasses and caramel nose, and based on that, surprisingly big, slightly bitter first taste on the tongue. definitely spicy at first, but flavors (spices, some clove, drying quickly) don't last. probably better in a cocktail - given initial big spice. Can drink alone, but there are better options for neat rums.
It is on the bottom end of English Harbours line, so I shouldn't have expected much.
surprisingly smooth for a rum at this price point! recommended to people who want an affordable, inoffensive and slightly sweet sipping rum. not really enough intensity to be interesting for mixing.
This is low price rum, so I did not expect much.
I was surprised to drink.
The arome is like a butter caramel. Taste is sweet and smooth, a little creamy, easy to drink.
This is not the best rum, but it is very good taste for this price.
I was probably spoiled by trying the 10 yr old a few weeks back as that was delicious.. but this is fine just not as good. Nice caramel , vanilla and molasses on the nose. Dryish rum in the mouth , spicey , a bit smokey.
Short finish , maybe a bit thin.
It is a sipper but to me a good quality mixer both with cola or ginger beer. Also makes a great " Old Fashioned"
I find it rather harsh. The nose isn't half-bad, but I strain to search for interesting and pleasant qualities. The distillate seems to be of poor quality, which is turned to depend heavily on the cask to both clean it up and add pleasant qualities. Maybe the older ones are better, but I actually don't care much for this one...
The nose is sweet molasses, a little orange.
"When sipped like this you taste molasses and toffee. The oakiness of the rum also comes through giving a slightly bitter taste."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Medium to light body makes this a very unassuming rum. Hard to dislike but also hard to fall in love with at the same time. Breeze of oak and clove. Doesn't try very hard but doesn't accomplish much either.
