El Dorado Special Reserve 15-Year rum is crafted from 15 to 25 year old rums that are then blended and married together in bourbon oak casks. Prior to blending the original batches are distilled using 4 unique stills - the Enmore and Diamond Coffey stills, the Port Mourant double wooden pot still, and the Versailles single wooden pot still.
The bottle of El Dorado Special Reserve 15-year was inspired by the the old hand-blown flasks used by sugar planters on the banks of the Demerara river.

Very good rum with great power but what the hell is this sugar added value?
Too much sugar for me. This demerara deserved better treatment. No sugar would be great !

I prefer the 12 years....but....a side by side is always enjoyable .
Very nice mid range rum. Nice dark tones, smooth smell and not too sweet soft taste that does not disappear quickly leaving a warm lasting sensation.

This rum costs 40$ and I really have yet to taste anything close to as good in this price range. I agree with another reviewer that this is the standard to judge other rums. Sure, some are better, but not for the price.

Très bon , achat sans pouvoir le goûter au préalable, et très bonne impression à la première gorgée, une valeur sûre pour moi, impatient de goûter le 21 ans.

Virkelig lækker Rom. Lige et hak over 12'eren.
Lækker duft, super smag, kompleks, sød og fyldig.

This is nothing like ED 12 , less sweet and quite bitter on the first taste. I find strong molasses and dark cherry flavours plus raisins ..... Lots of raisins !!!
Very unique rum and im hoping to enjoy it more after a few more tastings.

Den havde fået mange rosende ord, så det var med stor spænding den blev købt og åbnet og jeg må nok sige at den ikke bliver en af mine favoritter. Prøvet men glemt.
