El Dorado Special Reserve 15-Year rum is crafted from 15 to 25 year old rums that are then blended and married together in bourbon oak casks. Prior to blending the original batches are distilled using 4 unique stills - the Enmore and Diamond Coffey stills, the Port Mourant double wooden pot still, and the Versailles single wooden pot still.
The bottle of El Dorado Special Reserve 15-year was inspired by the the old hand-blown flasks used by sugar planters on the banks of the Demerara river.

Qu'elle découverte cette maison "el dorado" je connaissais de nom, mais jamais goûté réellement, mais problème réglé et waaaaaaaaw waaaw un plaisir, un régal, des saveurs explosive et délicieuse, un retour qui perdure, ne jamais avoir d'hésitation sur ce rhum ou cette maison, vous ne serez pas décus

After the 12 it was logic to try the 15 version of this great rum enterprise called El Dorado. I expected more and I got more. Starts with a sweet kick, maybe a bit to much but followed by a nice burn and cognac/oaky finish. A very well balanced rum wich makes you eager to try the 21 edition. Will that be my first 10 out of 10????

The 12 had a great balance but was a little sweet. Clearly a little more aging fixes that and this pushes it to one of the best I have tried. Warm hints of oak and vanilla. Great taste.

even though it is unnecessarily sweet. Oily, fruity,spicy.
sugar 31+ A few years later, this is undrinkably sweet.

trully amazing! It's so delicate in pallatin, unveliable. A top product, definitely. I would try whenever I could.

Good flavor of fruit then oak. Nice for a sip but too heavy for multiple drinks.

Starts with quite a dry nose. Good mix of spice and buttery smoothness with a lingering woodsy finish that coats the mouth. Not as buttery as the 20 year, which is a good thing. Seems to be missing a slight complexity that would make this a truly fantastic rum.
