Ron Zacapa Edicion Negra

Un sapore deciso e gradevole molto gradito da bere liscio

Un ron sin concesiones, de trago largo, en boca una explosión de 43 grados y sabores sin concesiones, ron ron, sabores a maderas mucha fuerza y sabor yo realmente no encuentro mariconadas como vainillas caramelos ni cosas parecidas...solo sabor a ron me ha ayudado encontrarlo a 49€ la botella de litro, no pienso mezclarlo....habitualmente no mezclo nada.

I assumed it would be great, it wasnt. At least not for me. It has a great aroma, but the finish is to sharp and overwhelming for my taste. If you like that in a drink then this is one to try.

Nose: cream and soap amd caramel.
Mouth: It has a woody and spicy feeling. More alcoholic feeling that Zacapa Solera 23. Longer finale.

Great over ice...brings out the smooth caramel flavours.

Obviously a quality rum but I much prefer the original 23, which I think is very good. I find the peat like smokiness here to be distracting. If I want that flavor I will go drink a Malt Whiskey from the western Islands of Scotland.

In overall I think this is much a like the 23 y solera, but this is better. Edicion Negra has deeper nose and bit longer aftertaste. More spicy, more tasty more Zacapa.

Similar to the 23 but smokier. Definitely not worth the premium price charged for it.

Hated to tell my friend I didn’t like it, especially when I found it it’s more expensive than Solare 23 (which I’m not fond of either). I just plain did not like the flavor. Will likely give it a go again but not soon.

It starts smelling and tasting like rum but slowly transitions to the whiskey side
