Nice dark brown amber in color. Strong alcoholic sugary aroma with hints of oak.
Molasses coats the palate with woodsy notes of banana. Oak is very present. Syrupy. Definitely coats the tongue. Hints of maple. Nice. May be too sweet for some. Slight spice on the front of the tongue.
Highly recommended.

Brugals usual style is dry and sweet rum . This is something slightly different and when I say slightly its on the finish that misses the usual pal and tobacco dry notes

I probably didn't drink enough of this to give it a proper review. I was at a cigar bar in Punta Cana when a stranger who splurged on a bottle poured me a drink. It was some of the best tasting rum I've ever had. I've tried 100 different rums in my day but the Legend is now the unicorn that I cannot get stateside.

I was quite curious to taste this rum so well rated. Although I recognize it is a good rum it is way too sweet for my taste.

Aged well, smooth finish heavy taste of honey but man then this overpowering sweet finish ruins it for me. Good if you lean towards the sweet but for me i rather just eat a jolly rancher if that’s where i want to go.
Revisited years later leans more prune/raisins still too sweet for me.

That bright red gold color with rich, deep flavor, strong chocolate flavor, soft going and long lasting end.

hab ihn zum ersten mal in der domrep probiert und war sofort begeistert!und natürlich eine flasche mit nach hause genommen. meiner meinung nach der rum den dem diplomatico am nächsten kommt.. im direkt vergleich schmeckt mir der diplomatico ein tick bessr.
dar auf keinem fall in der haus bar fehlen! top preis leistung! und schmeckt mir persöndlich besser als sein grosser bruder!

Beaucoup de sucre au nez et en bouche. Très beau nez sur la barrique. Rond, facile à boire avec du des arômes de caramel. C’est bon, mais un peu trop en barrique et sucré a mon goût pour être un grand rhum. Excellent RQP.

Was so looking forward to it, but upon first sip, reminded me of dark toffee, burnt honey and sugar. Not a totally bad rum, but a little closer to Havana Legendario.
Drank the whole bottle while there. Glad I didn't buy one to bring home.
Nice treat for the shelf, especially for $20 that I paid but wouldn't go searching high and low for it.

Der 10 Jahre alte Rum reift zuerst 8 Jahre in alten Sherryfässern, wird dann umgefüllt in amerikanische Bourbonfässer, um seine perfekte Ausgewogenheit und Balance zu bekommen.
Der Geschmack ist eine Mischung aus Karamell und Honig mit Nuancen aus Vanille sowie leichtem Ansatz von Sherry. Er ist extrem weich vom Geschmack, ein Rum der unbedingt pur getrunken werden sollte. Für diesen Preis das beste was ich je getrunken habe.
