La base est faite de rhum, sans aucun doute. Mais cela s'arrête là . Le goût est agréable mais trop sucré pour moi. A classer dans les boissons à base de rhum.
There is some rhum inside. No doubts. But it is not rhum. Good taste, too much sugar. To be classified with rhum cocktail. Not with rhum.
Strong banana flavor also very sweet not bad if you like that kinda rum
Was quite shocked at the initial taste and didn’t remind me of a rum beverage.
Taste more like a sweet after dinner liqueur.
Regardless, drunk the bottle and found it very easy to drink if you’re a sweet tooth.
Can’t taste the alcohol, very toffee banana on the nose and after taste.
Enjoyable nonetheless!
very good rum for good price, non-aggressive taste and great smell
Bellisima bottiglia ma rum che non mi piace molto, troppo dolce e sembra di bere un liquore alla banana
Fantastic sweet but strong rum! The banana smell makes you believe you’re on a tropical island
Es artesano con especias y frutas añadidas a la barrica. Es una receta que usaron los navegantes para mejorar la porquerÃa que llevaban en los barcos. Fuerte caracter a platano, quiza demasiado, pero bien equilibrado con las notas a especias.
Great sipping rum, very smooth, next to no burn. Has a slight caramel taste that compliments the sweet fruity undertone. A favourite.
J'adore le goût de banane qui reste en bouche. Belle couleur et très belle bouteille!
Vraiment sucrée, vanille genre gateaux vanille. Rum de dessert
The nose smells very sweet. Llashings of caramel and toffee.
"It barely even tastes like alcohol in any way shape or form. No mid palate and definitely no finish not even the slightest hint of alcohol burn. Maybe a little bit of woodiness as it goes down."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

The first thing you can say about this drink is that it definitely has plenty of banana. I hesitate to call it rum. As others have said it's more of a banana/vanilla liqueur. The first sip confirms the aroma.... with a bunch (no pun intended) of banana and vanilla. Warming and then a slightly bitter banana (surprise) finish. I don't think I'd want to have to drink this very often.
There is not really much if any rum character that I can find in this. Too much spice, banana, vanilla etc. It's sweet but not sugary if that makes sense. The flavor of the drink coats the palate and lingers on and on. The longer I sit here with it next to me the more I dislike it. The aroma is overpoweringly banana. I like sweet rums, dry rums and those right down the middle but I don't like this.
I'd have a hard time recommending this to anyone who wants to taste rum. There are a lot of people out there who like spiced rums and think that is what rum is all about but even to them I'd say just stick with Captain Morgan or CM Private Stock. It's infinitely better and much less expensive.
At $36 in Ohio it's WAY, actually obscenely overpriced. Don't waste your money.
