Semplicemente mostruoso, aromi eccezionali, incredibile rapporto qualità prezzo.

A great explosion inside of you. It is not for all, but an experience you must try. Maybe it is not the best, but it is absolutely the best agricole! Very very lasting persistance. Quite perfect!

The nose opens with very vegetal notes of fresh cane with also floral notes, exotic fruits and a salty side. On the palate, the green olive is very present, the alcohol is present and sticks well to the palate. A certain bitterness is there as well. Moderately long with a final on spices and salty side that is always present. Nice rum.

Sampled the Capovilla PMG Marie Galante white rum and was rather surprised as I did not expect it to taste so good (for a white rum). Still not what I look for in a rum but this one was OK.

Nose: hot, briny, slightly funky.
Palate: suuuuper salty.
Finish: short.

You've gotta be into the brinier agricoles to go for this one. It's fine, but it's challenging.

N- Bright with lifted kippery aromas, coconut and cool mints. Meaty sulphury notes in the middle, burnt matches, cedar wood. Breath deep to meet the residue of sweet juicy sugar cane. Plenty of floral and vegetal notes, blended tomato and celery juice with pinch of salts, drops of sugarcane juice and squeeze of lemon/lime. Nice stuff. (22/25)

P- Strong notes of meat jus, gammy and wild. Mouth coating sulphury floral, potpourri and paper ash. Some white oak influence with milky chocolate and orange vanilla. But much louder on the distillate, which is a good thing. (21/25)

F- Long and dry, full body, nail polish with echoing citric acid and yeasty. Return of burnt matches lingers. Finely balance with refreshing sugar cane. (22/25)

Balanced:- Fine cuts of heavy citric with sulphur and mildly sweet juice with strength. (23/25)

Weighted Rate:- 88pt

A very tasty agricole. The nose is wonderful. You'll feel as if you've been transported to a small sea cove on a tropical island. There's a clear briny maritime note that's gently girdled by bouquets of light, bright exotic fruits and flowers - think melon, under-ripe mangoes and bananas, jasmine and vanilla flowers. Also, it appears that the magic which transported you to this tropical paradise has sent you careening head first into the ferny, fertile, efflorescent undergrowth, as blanketing all this flowery fruitiness is a distinct grassy, green, herbal character reminiscent of cut grass and cucumbers. There is also a slight hint of rubbery, chemical-like acetone drifting in the background which is not at all unpleasant.

The taste follows the nose. It's sweet and fruity, while being both rich and delicate at the same time. There's an indefinable off/funky note that seems to soften--along with everything else, I should add--the more it airs.

Rhum Rhum PMG
Rhum blanc agricole Guadeloupe.
Origine : Marie Galante
56%
70cl
