Pusser's Gunpowder Proof 3-Year

Nose is like an aged Jamaican rum, but more subtle. Although it comes in at 54.5% ABV, it does not drink hot. Molasses up front with a dry finish.

Don't think I've seen black licorice mentioned but it was the first thing that came to mind for me. Either way, this will put some hair on your chest.

Vůně: staré exotické dřevo, karamel, koření, kvašené ovoce, nádhera!
Chuť: tabák, pepř, karamel, koření, rozinky, dub.
Dochuť: delší, sladší, karamel, jakoby whisky?
Skvělý! Tak nějak si představuji rum pro námořníky!

amongst the rums that have sugar added. Quite a nice range of sweet spice with coffee and chocolate on the palate. The abv also helps a lot.
Added sugar is noticeable but manages to stay away from becoming offputting.

the nose I can recognize oak, vanilla, and some dark fruit. There are similar notes on the tongue with a very strong burn. There is a long finish of spice, caramel, a burn. Overall a solid overproof with a lot of pluses compared to other overproofs. Great neat or on the rocks.

English style navy strenth, Guyana. Hits all the right boxes, but its not my favorite.

Proofed too high to enjoy multiple glasses.

Very strong, almost overpowering alcohol with a pepper and dark fruit taste. Lingers on the palate.

I drink my rum neat and don't prefer the burn that comes with the higher alcohol content. That being said, the flavors of this rum are pretty good. It has a long finish but most of that is the alcohol burn.

My favourite gunpowder proof... so far! Molasses is strong
