Its a goof rum for the Cubas Libres and the price is nice, in Mexico all the time you can find it with a promotion with a Cola of 2lts and a bag of ice!

Not as bad as the black one, but still a cheap rum...

Kinda sweet rum with lots of vanilla taste, good for drinks and the best, its cheap :-)

The only good thing I can really say about this one is that its really cheap.
At most I'd use it in a rum and coke but even then it's not really adding anything to the mix.

It feels somewhat wrong to give this rum a better score than to some fancier ones, but I'll do just that. This spiced rum was the first rum I ever tasted and found out that not all rums have a taste of bitter almond, which apparently was my misconception probably originating from mislabeling bitter almond tasting pastry as rum flavored. This delusion actually held me back from tasting rums for quite a while, yet I've never tasted a bitter almond flavored rum. But back to Mr. Captain. The rum is easily enjoyed as it's own and for a price, it's a good value, making it my go-to rum for binge drinking. And for rum and coke, I would choose this over better rums simply because I wouldn't want to 'ruin' the fancier rum with coke.

Most bars have no real Rum selection...so if you have to...this is better than rot gut. But donโ€™t put it on your own bar.

So its not really rum but its not a bad mix with coke... thats not saying much but overall if thats what you are looking for then there you go. Do not sip this though, seriously

Really enjoyed, not the best I have had but pretty smooth compared to some others of a higher price. Not sure how ages it is. Slight maple taste?

Much to sweet with a chemical character. I don't like it in my cuba libre.

There's so much better out there. The flavor profile is meh, it's mixes fine I guess, the only reason I'd ever buy this again would be to chug it. And that's dumb. Don't chug rum.
