Dos Maderas PX 5 + 5 rum is made from a combination of rums from Barbados and Guyana. It is unique becuase of its triple ageding process where for 5 initial years the rum is aged in the Carribean in oak casks. Next PX 5 + 5 is aged in Spain for 5 years in sherry casks, and lastly for 2 more years in even older sherry casks.
The Dos Maderas family of rums are produced by Bodegas Williams & Humbert, which is a well known Spanish winery founded by Sir Alexander Williams in the late 1800s. The region of Spain where the winery is located has a climate perfectly suited for wine and is known as Europe's wine cellar.

Very sweet, little bit sharp. Raisins in taste. Little bit chemical.
Amazing smooth, complex flavour that leaves you wanting more. Not too sharp and not too sweet. A very unique rum
It has aromas of fruits and it's sweet but smooth after first you get confuse if it's a rum taste but it actually is a great sipping rum
Slaba vune, plna lehce ostra chut zahnuta dokulata tony kakaa pretrvavaj v ustach i 10 min po polknuti.
Un bon blend pour ceux qui aime la rondeur.
Fortement marqué par le finish on en oublie facilement ces nobles origines
This is a very soft and sweet rum if that is what you can call it. No burn, now wow, just a really soft liqorlike beverage. Can be nice to drink on some ocassions but it doesn't do it for me. Too soft.
If you like port/px grape you will looove this rum. Cheers!
Woah!!!!!!!!!! For $40 you get a rum that finishes off with the taste of wine, even if you don't like this, it's definitely a try it at least once type of deal. Great rum for when you want to change things up once in awhile for me it's a staple daily go-to
This is a really good sipping rum - no alcoholic taste, with a nice caramel color and flavor. Doesn't have many distinguishing characteristics beyond that, but I will always accept the glass.... :)
Rich, plump raisins dominate the palate.
"Quite drying on the palate so the mid palate. A slight oakiness and a little touch of the oak barrel."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
