Dos Maderas PX 5 + 5 rum is made from a combination of rums from Barbados and Guyana. It is unique becuase of its triple ageding process where for 5 initial years the rum is aged in the Carribean in oak casks. Next PX 5 + 5 is aged in Spain for 5 years in sherry casks, and lastly for 2 more years in even older sherry casks.
The Dos Maderas family of rums are produced by Bodegas Williams & Humbert, which is a well known Spanish winery founded by Sir Alexander Williams in the late 1800s. The region of Spain where the winery is located has a climate perfectly suited for wine and is known as Europe's wine cellar.

My the first from cherry cask. Not for me, little more leather, smoked wood and oil in taste and with negative typical "medical/chemical" aroma -> means max 5 rating ... It is not sweet at all.
Sweetness -> 3/10
Strength -> 6.5/10

This rum comes with a nice bottle in an elegant box. The color is dark brown. The nose is sweet and fruity. You can smell the sherry notes of the barrel it ages in for the second period of 5 years. No disturbing alcohol burn. Very pleasant in the mouth, with notes of caramel, vanilla, banana and of course Sherry. Price 37€.

Oh man I love this one. Really sweet at the start, but immediately the sweetness is gone and you can taste the wood and sherry. Smells sweet. The price also makes it a value king. A must try!

Color oscuro, lágrima fina, suave y pausada, olor intenso a barrica añeja, sabor fuerte al.principio que en el paladar se suaviza a dulzón, que al tomar no quema la garganta. Uno de mis rones preferidos. Recomendable
