At first, I did not rate this rum. The pineapple seemed a bit synthetic, more like sweets than actual pineapple. However, mixing in a dash of ting has been an absolute game changer.

This rum really broke the wall for me when it comes to flavored rums. Does awesome in a cocktail but I still find it a tiny bit overpowering on it's own so I almost always pair it with another rum.

So smooth I enjoyed it on the rocks. And great in mixed drinks.

The pineapple taste is nice, very interesting, almost no afterburn.

This is my first Plantation rum and it sure didn't disappoint! Immediately on the nose, I got pineapple upside down cake, butterscotch hard candy, dried tropical fruit mix and a little mint hanging out in the background. Maybe a little sweet whipped butter and toffee popcorn (Fiddle Faddle, etc) too.
In the mouth, the pineapple is sweet and light and quickly gives way to a warm, smooth and very balanced body. It's initially sweet and rolls over the tongue like velvet to a refreshing and subtly dry finish but leaves a little sweetness on the lips. There isn't a ton of pineapple flavor but what is there, is ripe and premium. Very, very smooth for a pretty young blend. Just wow! I've been enjoying this neat with no desire to dilute or chill. I suspect this would make dynamite cocktails as others have suggested. That's what I'll do next!

After trying straight I would say that it tastes like a good dark rum with a perfect balance of real pineapple. I could appreciate it straight but once mixed, this really comes to life. Surprisingly outstanding.

Alt for gennemtrængende smag af ananas.
Men dejlig duft
