Kirk and Sweeney 23-Year

This is definition of rum..I absolutely love this rum, i love bottle, label and the rum of course !
My first 10 here !

Oak and toffee flavours stand out. No burn, definitely smooth. Beautiful bottle, looks good on my bar shelve.

My new favorite rum. A wonderful rich flavor with very little burn at the end. It's going to be hard to pry myself away from this to try others.

Kirk and Sweeney 23-Year - almost the same as 12 yrs old

You know when you stubble on a really good rum at a great price and then find out it is almost perfection in a glass , this rum is it a smooth gentle sweetness that rolls off the lips around your mouth and down your throat , OH SO GOOD !!!
If you have a chance to pick this bottle up at a steel of a deal at $40 USD do it do not hesitate you won’t regret it 👍👍👍👍

I was impressed by the 12 year old, which was not quite my favourite, but amazingly good value, so I thought I would try the 23 year old. Definitely not disappointed. The 23 year old is much smoother, as expected. It’s slightly sweet, with no burn, but lots of taste, with hints of caramel and vanilla. Incredible price for a 23 year old and I just love the bottle.

Possibly the smoothest rum possible at the price. No burn on the nose or the palate at all. Nice, balanced flavor as well

This is big rum with all that you'll expect. Aroma is great

Obviously this is down to personal taste, and for me this is too sweet.

I don't get the complexity or depth of flavour you'd expect from a 23 year old rum, would you do get is lashings of sweet butterscotch and vanilla.
It's a nice, pleasant rum, but there's much better out there.

At £50 for a 23 YO, it could be seen as a bargain regardless, BUT you have to question WHY it's so cheap...
