Another rum that needs to be mixed with something. Not worth the effort of opening the bottle.

Don't try pure, but it has definite qualities in coke or cocktails. I use it for cocktails that need a somewhat sweeter rum taste.

Okey for coctails. Its the rum when you want to go safe with a low price.

Passar bäst som drink ingrediens.

I think this was the first rum i ever tried. I remember it being nice with coke and a slice of lime and it would leave a foam around the glass as you drank it. Wouldnt spend my money on it now though, far better rums out there

I tried without Coke but it was not great, only recommended in drinks.

Very spicy and strong after taste of not-so-good rum

Why do I keep hoping that the makers of this poo will get it right just once? This stuff smells bad, it tastes bad, and it looks fake. Most of the positive reviews mention drowning it in cola. Sure, why not? Drown away. Just don't drink it.

Sweet and contains ethanol (bit too much distinguishable), so in all it's drinkable with cola, but far from being a good rum. If you desperately feel like having a Captain, the Golden Spiced will be a better choice.

6:The nose opens with the rather sweet, gourmand side of a Jamaican rum, made of banana and a drop of resin. Several families of aromas then follow in fairly detached succession: pepper, coconut and orange seem to lead us towards Barbados, while mingled wood and walnuts would guide us more towards Guyana. Plum and other black fruit tannins spice things up a bit, as does the slightly dreadnought, metallic leaning that follows. The profile is rich but rather rough, like a typical navy rum.Aeration rounds out the edges, while caramel, molasses and licorice round out the woodiness. A surprising touch of cane juice or honey enriches the nose considerably. It continues to become more complex, with spices, vegetal notes and walnuts that give it a slightly oxidized aperitif wine feel. The rum becomes softer, less rough. The oak is more mellow, spreading out into nuts and cocoa.
6,3:The palate is soft on entry, revealing a sweet, juicy fruitiness that had been on the back burner until now. Molasses and wood then mingle in a smoother ambience, leading on to coffee and toasted nuts. All these notes remain light and well-balanced, until the toastiness takes over and swarms the taste buds.
6:On the finish, the same dark, roasted notes persist, with black coffee and roasted nuts.
