A bit stronger that usually captain, i prefer this with coke.
This is my thug choice. Can down a bottle or two in a night - no qualms.
It's average like the rest of Cap Morgan. I don't buy it, but I wouldn't refuse it when offered.
After a work mate told me it was great I finally obliged and bought a bottle but it is overly sugared and not to my taste sure to have a market though
Adequate if no other options, but it isn't my first choice as a black spiced rum.
I tested Captain Morgan Black Spiced against Kraken with some friends and 4 out of 4 would choose Kraken! The difference is not big in Coke but straight Kraken is the best.....
Nosing is rather subdued for its strength under the additives but does have a slight nostril burn to it. The nosing is that of chocolate, molasses, vanilla. Burn in the back of the throat and tongue. Astringency Then turns into a sugar bomb in its finish with vanilla and chocolate notes. Nothing to sip on lacking oak or smoke flavors form any "double charring". Unable to have the desire to sip more I mixed with cola which I rarely do. The cola helps to mostly reduce the burn and astringency which it often does and carried the vanilla and chocolate notes.
Nice spiced. I like it straight but could be good with coke.
"vanilla flavour is there but is mixed with a little Black Cherry and caramel"

"rich clove spice and premium cassia bark"

There is a little hint of clove and nutmeg present on the nose as well but predominantly it is sweet vanilla. .
"This is a very sweet drink. The rum burns a little on exit but after a few sips the burn subsides. There is a little hint of oaked ageing in the aftertaste."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Just like his brother, regular captain Morgan, add Coke to it and you have a good drink for those who don't really appreciate rum.
