Love this Rum it is great 1st had it in the Dominican
This one is really different and interesting. A short immediate flavor with a long leather Leather LEATHER taste. A very good one, not many other flavors involved, perhaps a lot of wood.... and seconds. An excellent alternative.
The best I found in our trip to dr...dryer, meatier, mature, complex...no extra sugar, a fine tipple
Agree that this is dry, smooth and complex. It struck me as mildly woody with a very slight smoky flavor.
Es un ron sabroso pero inclusive parece que lo hubieran aguado, no es un premium
Grei og balansert, som forventet til prisen men ikke noen opplevelse ala Diplomatico,Ron Millionario etc til samme prisen
Smooth solid flavor. not overly sweet rum that i found to have a caramel esqe finish
Although my bottle was corked there were still notes that showed impressive complexity and depth. But unfortunately the corkiness (the only time that I have found with a spirit) completely ruined things. I really should buy another bottle, but.....
At first it seems quite good. But the taste doesn't last very long nor is it very complex. But if you are looking to serve decent cocktails, the Brugal 1888 will do the job just fine.
Great nose. Light color.
This rum seams to be a great divider of opinion due to the very dry taste. I like it. (The lowest score seems to have voted twice which has pulled down the average)
Caramel, sherry and a very, very light spice.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

($48) This one I’ve been looking forward to for a long time. Popping the cork, I know I’m going to love it. It smells sweet of the Brugal floral note I’ve come to love and even some woody oak tones as well. Very enticing.
The initial flavour is that of a classic Dominican rum with some long oak finish. The finish lasts long as bits of sherry come up to meet you, long after you’ve taken a sip.
Leather, tobacco and a sherry finish. I’m thinking a cigar would go amazingly well with this.
After the second tasting, the cork broke apart. Luckily I keep some old corks. If not for this cork issue, it would be a 10.
