I guess Captain Morgan, as well as a few others, didn't want to miss out on the apple (and other trendy flavors) flavored liquor fad. Based on its performance as such, it does the job when used in a mixed drink. I haven't gotten brave enough to drink this straight, as I'm certain it would not be great.

Despite it coming from from Captain Morgan, and the fact that it's a fairly sweet rum, use this in the correct way and you'll be surprised as to how much you'll enjoy it. If you're in the market for a sweeter product to make fun shots with, or to mix with your favourite soda (I recommend Ginger Ale, as it makes it taste like a green apple ring) then this will make for fun addition to your bar.

Not a great sipping rum. Way too sweet. There is a bit of hope for it. It is fantastic to cook with. Beef roast marinated with a little of this rum and spices is fantastic.

File this under β€œmore flavors for more shelf space”. It’s all marketing. This stuff is ok for a kiddie mixer. It’s harsh. It has some chemical apple flavor. It will give you a buzz.

i mean, sliced apple and regular apple taste expecting the same right? jokes aside, funny rum that i'll occasionally buy when on sale, since it's not that expensive and surprisingly pleasant when mixed with ginger ale!

Well I got two bottles of this and wish I hadn't wasted my money. It's weak tasting to say the least on it's own, they do recommend using lemonade with it. I used diet. Becareful not to drowned it in lemonade as you will kill any flavour small amount of lemonade top it up as required. You can taste the apple which I would say was Granny Smith, but then Granny Smith Apples are normally quite sharp and the lemonade tends to sweeten this drink quite a bit. This is 25% and yet you would not think so. Maybe the other version with 35% might be much better. I'm not going to bother wasting more money finding out. For a few years Captain Morgan had the gingerbread which again tasted quite weak, but paired with pepsi max became a great alcoholic gingerbread coke I didn't have a pepsi max for the sliced apple available, I did try Cherry, which made it even sweeter. Might be better with ice of which I didn't have at the time of trying. I would not buy this again.

Caribbean rum with apple, spice and other natural flavours. I think it's good for summer low alcoholic drinks.

There are much better apple-flavored liquors. I did not like this one and would not buy it again. Maybe I did not find the right thing to mix it with but it seemed not to pair with much.
