Smell is softly glue
Taste is pretty simple, with a hefty dose of the caramel they coat the barrels with on the finish.
Beyond that, I get wood, a tiny bit of funk, brown sugar, and an oily, slightly dirty vibe.
It's very dry, and certainly to my taste, overly diluted in proof. 46% minimum would have brought appreciably more flavour, and for the money they're charging, I judge it's needed.
Overall, I found it a bit disappointing. I had a dram of Chairman's Reserve Legacy afterwards, and to my mind, that had more depth, richness, complexity and interest.
Interesting to try, and certainly more than palatable, but I got more of Master of Malts independent bottling of Port Mourant, and it's half the price.

Could smell cognac the moment it was poured, massive aroma when you put your nose to the glass, flavour is less pronounced but still big cognac notes. Minimal alcohol burn. Burnt caramel and cognac on the aftertaste

Light, sweeter than the 15 year with a slight lingering after taste. Single still
