Bayou Spiced

This a nice mixer looking forward to trying the select. A great addition to the collection.

A really solid spiced rum - much better than a Captain or Sailor. A good standby choice.

I like spiced rums as a sipper.
This one would suffice with a bit of mix but I just found it too harsh to truly enjoy on its own.

Original pink glass bottle. The aroma of vanilla, cloves, boiled molasses. Harsh as an extract. It is obligatory to accompany water, because Bayou Spiced is heavy and bitter as a medicine. Interrupts breath. There is no desire to continue for a long time due to sugar severity. 200-300 ml does not complicate work the next day.

Resembles Captain Morgan Spiced Gold. For those who don't like rum.

Easy to drink, spicy - in a sweet way - and kindly warm. I can remember chocolate notes if I'm not mistaken.

I don't drink much Coke but I did 'enjoy' one with this flavorful rum. It's more complex than the Captain, it's like a spiced rum for grown ups.

This is a good rum, will happily but this again and again.

I'm not a big spiced ron guy but this may just find its place in the rotation. The blend as noted isn't over bearing as with some of its class but still there to enjoy.

I'm not going to leave a complex review of finishes and flavours because to be honest I mixed this with coke and ginger beer. Nice Rum, almost too easy to drink. Nice vanilla, banana, cinnamon flavours mixing with the Coke. I would stay away from Coke zero because it's way too sweet. I found it best with ginger beer.
