This Rum missed some taste, and smells not quit strong. Not a bad rum, but no winner. The bottle has a great design!
Lovely bottle but no intelligence in the head. The wisdom remains in your wallet.
So when the husband and I first started looking at rums for our bar we did not know where to start.. so we just hit the total wine and looked for what ever caught our eye! well this did it!! the amazingly funny shrunken head was super funny and love it!!! looks great on the bar!!
but that is where it ends.. it is a decent rum don't get me wrong.. but you are paying for the bottle!! it is ok in mixed drinks but still prefer a few others to this one..
if this was in a normal bottle the price would be about $10-15 I am guessing.. based on taste.. After trying other much better rums sadly even the amazing bottle is not enough to keep it on our bar.. soo many better options for similar price point!!!

Tried this in a pub very expensive and wasn’t nice at all very disappointed
We all know the main draw to this rum is the bottle. If it weren’t in this bottle I’d probably still drink it, wouldn’t be my first choice but it’s definitely better than some other runs I’ve tried. This one needs to be used in mixed drinks though, it’s pretty rough on its own.

The bottle is more interesting than rum inside. It’s not bad but quite harsh, quite sweet and nothing really tasty there. Good for mixing but one point down for the price.

I've been to the distillery in Chiapas, Mexico that contracts to Deadhead. Deadhead has some close to OK typical run of the mill rum from Chiapas. But, they're missing the game. But you have to visit the distillery to get that 7 or even 8 rating. I had their infused white rum and it obliterated the deadhead exports. At $12 a bottle. So Deadhead gets a 5 for not exporting the best!

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Tasted at Laka Lono on 8/19/21. Reddish pink amber in color. Aroma of musty books and vegetable soup.A very watery rum for 80 proof. Mild black pepper finish. Soft candy sweetness is about all that is produced. An unremarkable rum in a remarkable bottle. Could this be the next "Billy Beer" of rum where everyone bought the bottle to collect, but no one opened it? Once I tasted this at Laka, I see that there is no reason for me to ever open my bottle.
