We have never found the way to each other - its good smelling and tasting but there is something what bothers me. But try it for sure, its not a bad choice.
Kanske hade önskat mer eftersmak. Lite tunn men god att sippa
Very subtle taste of oak and molasses, great hint of bourbon.
Based on the ratings, thought I would like this one. To me the finish is too long and the taste palate is off. It tastes a lot like the Diplomatic to me.
Only giving this a 7. It's decent, but for 21 years old? I guess I expected a lot more, especially given the hype. There are a lot of rums less than this one, even half this price, that I like a lot better. It opens up with time and has a decent flavor overall, right level of sweetness (for me), interesting - but lacked overall complexity. Nice thing, not overly woody. For the price, I won't be buying it again. I'm bummed out about it! I don't know that I'd ever splurge on the 30-year one now.
Got this locally on sale. Figured it to be worthy for the price ($47 from $61). Well, it's definitely decent. But, after allowing it to breath it flattened right out. So, it's a FAST rum. Enjoyable at a party cause it's good but kicking back makes it lack! Letting this breath a little, it's refinement tool starts to dull. It's simply a premium rum that can go the distance but there's heavy traffic when it's a marathon. It does reminds me of the good old days when Panama Red had it's run! Same, Same! & that ain't all that bad. That's why I downgraded this.
Dejlig rom med lidt anderledes og skarpere smag end de noget sødere rom jeg er vant til. Har godt af at stå i glasset et kvarters tid oplevede jeg.
This rum has a beautiful smell about her. She be a little sweet, with vanilla, caramel, and oak, but just below deck, just out of range, there be hints of fruit, spices, and a bit of smoke. As for taste, the subtle sweetness, vanilla, and oak come through as expected, and then there be a surprising hint of biscuit flavor! The real surprise be when all that turns into a flat, tart cherry flavor that be more like a port wine than a rum. Arrrgh! Those two shores should never meet! Bourbon be a beautiful beverage, but if there be ANY hint of bourbon in this rum from the agin' process, then I be no better than a biscuit-eatin' landlubber! Arrrgh!!!
I bought this one because it was one of those available at the store that I hadn't bought before and that seemed worthy of a sip. I personally did not like it; like other people say, it leaves a "strange" flavor that I definitely had not found in other rums. May be too woody and certainly too oily. In my opinion it does not have the freshness and appeal of other rums. Tough to describe the flavor, but I am sure some people may find it interesting.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
