Best screw top rum around Usually I go for corked bottles but this was an amazingly good rum. Big step up from the 8 year.

Sweet but not overpowering Smooth and subtle the taste sneaks up nicely as it goes down

Most delicious A very smooth sipping rum, and certainly on par with others at a similar price point. Great vanilla flavor!

Solid sipping option A little hard to find, at least outside of duty free for me, but very good and well worth the cost. Definitely would recommend and buy again.

Strong vanilla notes A very smooth drink but definitely not worth the standard price point. Other options are better.

Excellent Colombian rum Obviously leaps and bounds over the 3 year this is a nice glass of rum to be enjoyed more than once.

Solid but not perfect Well worth sipping on but there is better out there for sure.

Excellent jump from the 12 Much better option than their 12 year this is worth the money for a nice glass neat or on a single cube.

A competitor Definitely a solid rum I still preferred the Hechicera when it comes to a Colombian rum.

Zaya Grande Reserva

Sweet and smooth but lacking something A very decent rum especially given the low price but it's not quite great. Sweeter than many rums with clear vanilla notes.

Pusser's British Navy

Fine sipper and solid mixer Not bad for whatever the occasion calls for and not overly expensive to boot.

Often the best available When at a US bar with a limited rum selection this is certainly worth trying. However if more aged rums are available it's only mediocre.

Good middle of the road Good for sipping but not extraordinary by any means.

Great as a cocktail base Not really something to sip on but it makes a mean rum runner.

Barbancourt 5 Star Reserve Especiale

Another rum for mixing Doesn't quite make the cut for sipping on but is all right with ice or as a cocktail.

Middle of the road Definitely could be better but if a spiced rum is what one is craving then it's an acceptable option.

Made to be blended When making a cocktail this is always an acceptable option.

Bacardi Gran Reserva

If one must Pour on some ice and it's not terrible but definitely not what one might hope for.

In a pinch If it's the only rum at the bar that's not clear or named bacardi/captain morgan then this is worth the glass.

Don Papa Small Batch

Needs some work For a corked sipping rum this did not impress. Definitely not worth it.

Drinkable but not very good It can be silped but probably better as a solid mixer

Bundaberg Overproof

Undrinkable This was pretty rough and was not being sold as a mixer. Perhaps if one was inclined to do shots.
