Best $50 rum
This was the rum that introduced me to rums. Smooth sweet and delicious with a reasonable price to boot. Only issue with this rum is I keep buying i
One of the best drinks I've had the pleasure of enjoying.
Joy Anniversary Blend
Unique and Excellent
The cost is high but well worth it as this is a delicious rum with a nice smooth taste a slight bite to remind you this is a pirate's drink.
Excellent sipping rum for any occasion
Gives Zacapa a run for its money and while I remain a Zacapa fan I would never turn down a lovely glass of this tasty rum
Great sipping experience
Pricey but is an enjoyable sipping rum with excellent flavor.
Great Colombian rum
While there are likely some pricier options out there this is my personal favorite so far from Colombia
20th anniversary XO Extra Old
Smooth and enjoyable
Nothing overly special but definitely a very good sipping beverage.
Estate Reserve 15-Year
Best screw top rum around
Usually I go for corked bottles but this was an amazingly good rum. Big step up from the 8 year.
Well refined rum
Good to add variety to an evening of rum tasting due to its unique taste. Sweet for sure but great for sipping.
Definitely a solid rum I still preferred the Hechicera when it comes to a Colombian rum.
Special Reserve 15-Year
Excellent jump from the 12
Much better option than their 12 year this is worth the money for a nice glass neat or on a single cube.
Rare Blend 12-Year
Solid but not perfect
Well worth sipping on but there is better out there for sure.
1888 Ron grand reserve
Surprisingly sweet and smooth
This was definitely more sweet than expected but I enjoyed the smoothness of the flavor.
Gran Reserva 12-Year
Excellent Colombian rum
Obviously leaps and bounds over the 3 year this is a nice glass of rum to be enjoyed more than once.
A surprising find
This was recommended to me by a bartender and I was skeptical but ended up really enjoying it.
Fine sipper and solid mixer
Not bad for whatever the occasion calls for and not overly expensive to boot.
Wray & Nephew
Shots and mixing only
If one wants to live the pirate life this is fire in a glass. Not for sipping but hey that's not the point here. Feel the burn.
Kirk and Sweeney
Not a bad rum to sip but leaves much to be desired.
Fair spiced rum
Not a bad spiced rum, certainly preferable to many other alternatives out there.
Worth sipping on
Doesn't quite excite like its competitors but isn't something I would turn down.
A little disappointing
Certainly not a bad rum but not what I was hoping for from the price point even in Colombia.
Good middle of the road
Good for sipping but not extraordinary by any means.
Middle of the road
Definitely could be better but if a spiced rum is what one is craving then it's an acceptable option.
5 Star Reserve Especiale 8-Year
Another rum for mixing
Doesn't quite make the cut for sipping on but is all right with ice or as a cocktail.
Great as a cocktail base
Not really something to sip on but it makes a mean rum runner.
Drinkable but not very good
It can be silped but probably better as a solid mixer
Needs some work
For a corked sipping rum this did not impress. Definitely not worth it.
In a pinch
If it's the only rum at the bar that's not clear or named bacardi/captain morgan then this is worth the glass.
8 Gran Reserva
If one must
Pour on some ice and it's not terrible but definitely not what one might hope for.
Made to be blended
When making a cocktail this is always an acceptable option.
This was pretty rough and was not being sold as a mixer. Perhaps if one was inclined to do shots.
