Not only does it share my own surname but without doubt real navy rum real strength with Real taste first tasted 30 plus yrs ago still best Demerara and best price 👍
A lovely, Navy strength dark rum. Its nice as a mixing rum, but it really comes into its own when it's taken neat with a small amount of water added. The colour is very dark brown and the tastes are molasses, burnt sugar, toasted caramel and vanilla. It's very easy to drink, but be warned: over indulgence will lead to an awful hangover.
Recommended, especially if you like a stronger drink.
Heavy - and made heavier with copious amounts of caramel. Bitter notes afloat. Demerara? Nah. A cheap version of it.
Rich demerara sweetness and a pungent oakiness, Give a taste straight out of pirates of the caribbean! Delicous taste a fiery overproof burn for good measure.
Been on the sea in the sea and under the sea most of my life and I have never found a Rum to equal this Rum. Drink it neat but carefully is the only way but let it linger on the tongue to get the full flavour.
I don't have a drinks cabinet but I always have a bottle of Woods by the side of my chair. Buy it at the local supermarket but uneasy about the price as it keeps going up wish my pension went up at the same rate.
Sorry but I did not like it at all, I like rum but this one would put me off rum completely way too strong left horrible under taste in my mouth.
A staple diet for every British sailor was pussers and woods.
It's like mothers milk to us old uns
The perfect Rum for toasts
"spice in a very upfront punch in the face kinda way"
"Wood's 100 Old Navy Rum rum review by Helen at A Mountain of Crushed Ice"
Extra potency gives the rum a bit more of a kick.
"The rum is still quite sweet and is very similar in taste to Skipper and Lambs."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
