Rum and Fresca Advice
Looking for a rum to mix with fresca straight up. I've drink Trader Vics and diet coke for years but I can't do the diet coke anymore. I prefer something between 70-80 abv. Looking for something that adds a nice flavor to it but not too much of a "rum" flavor as the few I've tried kinda tasted weird. So far I've tried Don Q Silver, Captain Morgan White, Probitas. They were all ok I guess but I feel there might be a better option. Any suggestions are appreciated!
I see. Your US so Havana Club 7 would be good but not available, I think Mt gay eclipse is another good choice, maybe even Ron Abuelo Anjeo or 7 yr.
Switch to Ting if you can find it. It blows fresca away! Update, Walmart now sells it but it always sells out fast. It's made by Caribe the Carribean brewery. I found it in only one place in NYC but it's in the hood on flatbush Avenue and that's where there's a Carribean neighborhood so look for those neighborhoods near you. Good luck!
