Bacardi Black

The 2016 version seems to be a change from blends of the same name in earlier years. The label purports this to be a blend of rums aged 1 to 3 years in heavily charred oak barrels. I'm not sure how Bacardi defines "Black", it looked pretty amber to me and only when I put it side by side with Bacardi Gold could I tell it was a little darker. Tasted straight up, there is an initial aroma of caramel, charcoal and hint of dried fruit. Smooth, sweetish but with hint medicinal after taste. Not a very strong flavour profile, and is best served with coke and lemon slice.

Nice caramel taste, usually not a fan of Bacardi but this one do well in a punch.

Not bad rum, but as for me this rum is too sweet. But girls like it! :3

Got this long ago when it 1st came out. Walked in the bottle shop to grab some Beam & they where giving away shots of this as testers, & it was the 1st time I handled a shot straight without choking so ended up walking out with this. Me & a mate nearly finish that bottle the same night & it was the 1st & only time I got smashed. Never again. Power throwing for 6 hours isn't fun. Lol.
Oh & a line from Eminem's song, "Bacardi dark can't hardly talk"! So true!
All up, not a bad drop.

Quite special with a tar like nose. It tastes good when mixing it with coke and some ice but not when drinking it neat.

Tasted ok, but too sweet, this is one of the rums that give me a headache. Too sweet when mixed with coke.

Dark color. Ok taste straight up but I prefer mixed with Coke Zero or Pepsi Zero.

Kan næste ikke vente med at smage denne! - Har været på stor indkøb og købt lidt forskelligt :)

En mørk rom vi kun bruger til cocktails og hvis konen har brug for rom i en kage ;-)
Den dur ikke til at drikke alene.

Puur, met ijs, met cola of in een cocktail, alles kan met deze allrounder. Maar je kan beter de Reserva kiezen.
