Nose is dried fruit and vanilla, maybe a touch of cinnamon. Smoooooth taste, more vanilla, caramel, brown sugar, minimal alcohol burn, really easy drinking
surprisingly well! I took him just to have even one bottle at home quickly and did drink him even pur. i liked him more than some of my 30-40 euro rums, he is solid without extravagances, you don‘t think too much and are satisfied.
Young spirituous rum and sugar which doesn't make it smoother.Slight spices. Don't mind of sweet rums, but this one just bad. I keep the rest of the bottle for cocktails and cough mixtures. Don't be messed up with the nice bottle design, it's not worth the money.
How much I can say. This one is pretty good caca, me thinks!
The nose is a little interesting with smoke and chocolate but the palate is a letdown. Some baking spices that develop on further sips, perhaps a hint of the chocolate from the nose but not much else.
Not the greatest, not the worst. Really doesn't work with ice or water so best to have neat. Sweetness throughout but lacks a punch. Could be great if flavours were more concentrated. Retails at £36 in the UK, I wouldn't buy it, and would be on the fence if someone bought it for me.
Rating: 5/10
Smell - burnt sugar, mild spice, dried fruit, butteriness
Taste - slight burn at the start, sweet bodied, dash of smoke, slight dried fruit again
After Taste - medium length, smoke continues with sweet
Always enjoy this. Repeat buy. Great flavor. Great deal.
Quite light and buttery.
"It’s a pleasant nose which suggests good ageing and there is a light oak to the nose which is well balanced."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

This is an Anejo that delivers on its label. But, it is different in a good/interesting way.
The nose and finish are the same - oak, tobacco, and coffee. There are hints of vanilla and camel but they get washed out on the pallet by a strong leathery note that compliments the stronger flavor of the barrel. There's not much of a bite on the finish, its a smoother Anjeo despite its relatively young age.
This is a "sugar/camel added rum" but doesn't deliver sweetness, floral or fruit notes. It's a one dimensional rum, but its the absence of sugar, floral, and fruit notes and instead a strong coffee note I found to be pleasantly different and unique
Even with sugar added I don't think this deserves a 7 because its a very good quality Anjeo - a rare commodity.
The packaging and bottling is a home run. The stout bottle is sharp looking and sophisticated and the leather bag is an awesome touch.
Its a good sipper but also went very well with cola. I can also see it being used to balance out a fruit mixer.
For $30 a bottle (New York price) I'd say its worth experiencing.
