Thanks so much for submitting a report. It has been emailed to the Rum Captain and will be actioned shortly.
Tried this for the first time recently whilst out on catamaran all day off Dom Rep.
Really enjoyed it, found it to have a little natural sweetness, like a lot of Bajan rums, very smooth, little light burn and a lasting taste. Light colour.
Great with coke, and to me, perfectly ok over 1 ice cube.
Can’t source in UK, mines first review from here, got it delivered from Holland, £32, a bargain.
Struggling to understand the negative reviews from most people, but that’s what makes the site so interesting. Each to his own.
Good rum, but meant to be drunk from styrofoam or plastic cups with sprite out in the streets! Don't be classifying this rum in the same category as something you sip with a cigar or piece of dark chocolate! This is get your ass drunk cheap rum, but its still worthy of a 5 since its got bit of character. Hell, its named after Christopher columbus man!!! This stuff aint classy but its rum!
This is my go to rum for everyday drinking, this is not a sipping rum although you can drink it straight or with ice. This is what my group drinks for happy hour every weekend, some mixed with coke, 7up and some with just ice. This rum is very good, no hangover feeling the next day. Seeing many more Dominicans drinking this too.
Columbus 7y old rum from the Dominican Republic looks very low end. Bottle and label are designed by a five year olds. Color is very bleak. Columbus smells like rubber. Taste is not so bad, but its very bland. Hardly any burn at the end. Try once and move onwards.
Bought this one in Dominican Republic. Nice bottle with not more than ok rum.
