Nary many a rum be better for the doubloons matey. If ye air knot one of ye majestey's lords, then this be the drink fer ye when sailing and singing an olde sea shanty!
Nary none too sour, nor not sweet as a Barbary Coast lass. The balance be right on, and notes of smokey oak will fill ye with fond memories of burning ships while plundering.
A sweet nose when I opened the bottle, a hint of what I thought was plum on one occasion. The drinks starts slightly sweet with woody notes. There was a slight burn going down, but overall was pretty smooth. Overall I found that this rum was not overly complex and pretty good in a mix.
Smooth island rum without the cost. Hints of lime, and a lack of oak make this a very smooth finishing summer drink. Since the cost is inexpensive, that helps even more. It doesn't have the complex flavours of the top shelf rums obviously.
Too young to be a sipper. Not the best mixer. Very forgettable, especially as itโs priced slightly higher than similar rums.
Similar taste to other similarly priced Barbados rums such as mount gay. Probably a good mixer rum. Has a bit of a burn after going down neat, but not too strong
This is a great rum that's a step above what you'd normally find for a rum at a party. I love it for the value for money. Super easy to put it in anything or intrigue a guest with a corn and oil! :)
Bon pour faire des drink, pas un rhum de dรฉgustation.
This is a smooth, mellow aged rum. Not super sweet when sipped neat. Goes down well when mixed. As always, I enjoy my rum over ice with a healthy splash of Coke.
Good color, great taste. Enjoying this rum with a mix of orange juice and kiwi strawberry juice. Excellent taste
I drink a fair amount of rum and can honestly give this a middle of the road rating. Keeping in mind that I like my rums a little on the strong side, I found this rum to have a slightly weak and watered down feel to it. Unlike many reviews, I thought the price was a little high for this rum. I realize that my region runs a little high on prices, but I know of dozens of other rums at this price that I would choose before shelling out the quid for this.
It may be worth a try, but after I polish mine off, I am done with the brand.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

At $20 (ABC Liquors in Florida), it's one of the best rums I've enjoyed at the price. It's a sweeter rum, with an oak flavor component backed by a fairly strong vanilla and caramel flavor. I tried mixing it with Diet Coke, Jupina (pineapple soda), and ginger ale and it was quite nice with all of them. I wouldn't consider this a sipping rum but it's a solid choice for mixing.
