Captain Morgan Dark

Better than the spiced version but not good. Little flavour to it slightly burnt sugar. A fine mixer providing you don't want nice rum notes in your drink.

The very first dark rum that i tried you can use it only as a mixer and even then it is not worth it

Goes with coke, overhyped mass produced brand, slightly better than regular cpt morgan, very spiced.

First sip isn’t the best, but it does grow on you the more you drink it

Real rum is supposed to be drunk pure. But you should really skip this one because it will give you first-class heartburn.

It doesn't really smell like certain scents. You smell little sweetness. Tastes a bit like cinnamon. At first you taste Molasses and then a bitter taste. It's a bit of a hot taste and then it's just rancid and chemical.

For mixing, it's a lot better. Better than Bacardi Blanc. The only positive is that no sugar has been added but no doubt chemical flavour enhancers will have been added.

Premium rums in South Africa are very hard to come by so Cappies and Coke was our drink . He scores an eight from me because he was there during my sea going career and some of my wildest adventures . Nothing beat a Cappies sitting around a fire with good mates after a day of adventuring.
