Tried this at the uk rum fest. Best spiced rum Iβve had. I thought it might be a bit too strong but no, it hit my taste buds just fine.
At 57% it is less easy to drink than the rumbullion Spiced. The same flavours are there and is still delicious but a little overpowered by that extra strength removing the subtlety of the complex flavours from the original
GOOD stuff - chinamon? - stong - nice to sip - overpriced though
The great taste is backed by the the strength and this rum really packs a warmth as it goes down. I'll be definitely buying more of this!
Normal strength rumbullion is a bit clove heavy, but good. This is similar, but all the better for being richer and thicker tasting on the tongue. Very pleasing.
I have this and the XO and find this one needs a little water to make it drinkable. Spicy yet not overspiced.
A Navy strength with real hair! Great nose of Demerara and treacle. Plenty of punch but some good flavor too. Toffee and currant notes linger after the brown sugar dissipates. Good, smooth and strong. Would rank it higher but the finish is just too short. Nice rum!
Here's something different... The taste of spices attacks your tongue like nothing else. It drills into your flesh and lingers for eternity, so the next 100 meals you have can easily sample the spicey cokey goodness before they perish inside your stomach.
You want a heavy head? Pour some of this straight into your glass. Don't use any mixers, let it breath for 15 minutes to half an hour, then hold it with your hands to naturally warm a little bit. Sniff it well from up close and personal, slowly appreciate its odor. Herbs and spices do show up. Small sips at long intervals inbetween them. Swallow very slowly, then breath in cleanly, deeply, to feel the burn. Very long aftertaste, with overpowering spices, feels like you chew on them or something! Thick but not cloying, satisfying and hard! This does seem to live up to its reputation; "Rumbullion, a hot, hellish and terrible liquor". I am convinced, maybe this stuff can indeed Kill the Devil! Sign me up! Spice rum haters, subtract 2 points from my score.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Nose def. need some water to open up, lots of it. Alcohol is quite heavy before watering.
With water comes the mulled wine pouring in! WOW! Mulled and spiced wine is fairly big around christmas in Sweden and this rum is right up there with the best - mulled wines that is.
Its heavy on the typical christmas flavours- cardemom, cinnamon, almonds, dried fruits.
This is a real christmas drink and its growing on me now that I know what to expect. Not the typical rum though, more of an alcohol heavy mulled wine!
