I bought this rum in expectation to get a rum with intensive honey/molasses flavors. I love this dominant part in ElD15 and 21.

Single Cask from Diamond Distillery 53.7%
Distillation: Column
Distilled 07.2004, bottled 03.2017 -> 12y
Mark: VSG also called MDXC
Cask No. 11 - Bottles 288

Some information about the marks:
MDX could be a Diamond Coffey Still, MD for main Diamond. MDXC -> C for colored (I think it means molassses coated cask). "Whilst there is no official confirmation, it is understood that the cask mark MDX indicates the liquid distilled on the Enmore wooden coffey still."
All ElDs 12, 15, 21 have as main part the Wooden Coffey Still (EHP - Edward Henry Porter). But the mark is not ETH but MDXC, so who knows where DDL produces the Enmore style.

You get immideately the well known El Dorado 21 aromas.
My beloved honey, molasses and the fruits like papaya are there, that's exactly what I want.
It needs some time in the glas, in the foreground are musty walnuts first. But they disappear after 5-10min.
The nose is great overall, I could swimm in the glas the whole day like a drunken fly.
The initial taste is a little bit weak, but it's the same like at ELD21, typical MDXC style. The rest is exceptionally good.
Holy Moly, the more you drink it, the better it tastes. It spreads all over your mouth and won't let you go, like a woman in love. I can feel the excitement, this is a really great rum for me. This is the stuff El Dorado is made of. Try the original, you won't be disappointed.

I would rate this of with 86 points. I love MDXC mark. This is the perfect representation of the MDXC mark and a very good single cask.

Nose: molasses, musty old walnuts (as if they had been lying somewhere for years - just for some minutes), forest honey, herbs (sage, lavendar), ripe fruits like papaya, caramel ice cream with walnuts (so damn tasty), green walnut and iodine, herbs, wet barrel and earth
Taste initial: olives, iodine, honey, sage, green walnut
Middle: mint, honey, molasses, some fruit (papaya), walnut, spice, iodine
Finish: spice, molasses, papaya with honey, green walnut and iodine, mint
Aftertaste: holy this is a great aftertaste, honey with firmit and some ripe papaya,
after some minutes herbs and firmint, and after 5 more minutes some malt

Sweetness: 2/5
Fruits: 2.5/5
Spice: 2.5/5
Mildness: 3/5
Intensity: 3.5/5
Complexity: 4/5
Value (52€ for 0.5l): 5/5
Experience level: professional to expert

Experiment: 10ml ElD21 mixed with 10ml Diamond 12. Holy, the nose is very intensive.
Honey and green walnuts are out of balance. A little bit too much walnuts with iodine in the taste, the mouthfeel is astringent.
That was a little bit too much, lets add 5ml ELD15. Oh yes, very balanced nose. Oh yes, what a taste... I get an orgasm in my mouth.
Very intensive, but balanced, everything is there, not to sweet, a little bit astringent... rating -> 11.
