Have wanted to try this rum for a long time and finally was able to find and taste at the top of the world at the Karlsberger (KB Pub) in Longyearbyen Norway. What a smooth rum with a light burn and silky sweetness to it. Only reason I cannot give a 10 is that flavor is mainly just sugar cane and there just does not seem to be any other flavors competing to make it more interesting or complex. But nonetheless this rum kicks ass. I tried a few rums at the KB Pub but kept coming back to the Millionario XO again and again.Sorry for the poor photo but they fashion the pub like a coal mine and it is quite dark in there
As I saw all these great ratings, I was really looking forward to taste this one. Maybe I was expecting way too much, or it just wasn't the best rum for my taste. It was really smooth and overall good, but somehow blend also. Maybe I need to give it a second shot.
In the nose I smelt a strongly chocolatey aroma, but it was probably cane. The taste is deeeep, caramel-vanilla(?) with a looong finish.
I like it in a rom and Coke. One of my go to for that drink
Very smooth and a lovely aroma and taste. One of the best rums I have ever tasted. I drank the Reserva Especial 15 before and enjoyed both straight or mixed but the XO was so much better.
Különleges kakaós illat és íz. Ki tud tűnni a tömegből, ami nagyon tetszik.
The nose is very, very sweet.
"The finish is pretty soft and inoffensive but it doesn’t last very long."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
