Launched in 2011, Bacardi Oakheart is the newest addition to the extensive Bacardi collection.
This spiced rum is aged for 1 to 2 years, filtered using a proprietary process, and then flavored with various spices including maple, nutmeg, cinnamon and honey.
Bacardi Oakheart took over two years to name and more than 2700 names were considered. The winner, Oakheart, is a reference to the charred American white oak barrels that house the rum while it ages.

A very interesting rum with particularly spicy notes that pair with well seasoned food.

What is to do with a poor rum? Spice it up and try to find new customers. But wait, I've mixed a variation of mojito with it and come on, that was quite a bit of a surprise.

This oakheart rum seems to taste the same as the rest of the Bacardi line, it just cost more.

Slightly better than captain Morgan, and as such it goes well with coke and lime and not straight.
If you want to mix rum with things it is a good choice.

In terms of spiced rums I find it one of the best. Great with Coke. My whole family loves it. It is sad that Bacardii withdrawn from production.

Go to for a spiced rum. I don’t use much but it’s a decent rum for my needs at a decent price.
