Nose: caramel, chocolate
Taste: liquid chocolate, spices and caramel.
Lacks a little oemph-kick from the alcohol. But besides that excellent!
Picked up a bottle of the 25 in Costa Rica and on my way out of the country I spotted the 30 for less than what I had spent on the 25. Some of the best money I have ever spent. Both are sweet and full of flavor. It is like they were able to bottle the feeling of being in Costa Rica on a hot day at the beach. I find the 30 a bit sweeter and smother than the 25. Both are worth owning.
Very nice smooth ruhm. I personally like the 25 better. Hard to find. I'll add another bottle to the bar to have on hand for special friends.
Oöppnad............................................
Just best of the best. First chocolate cake with vanilla crema and then long finish from creamy toffee...
Not much not to like here! Definitely a good choice if you want something solid. Sweet, nutty, oaky, toffee!
Looking forward comaring it to the XX
Sweet, Ultra Smooth, Silky, Elegant, Expensive yet Fantastic!
For it's price I have expected something better. Don't get me wrong, it is very nice. Little bit too sweet. But you can buy same quality for half price.
A smooth rum. High quality, but a little sweet for my taste.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

I had the opportunity to taste the 20 years and the 25 years and I waited to taste this version 30 years at a rum fest or private tasting because as some of you the price was a brake and the comments were not necessarily positive. The day arrived when I finally tasted this rum. The conditions were not optimal but to seeing the heads of my colleagues during this tasting, our opinions all went in the same direction. This rum is in line with the two younger ones with the same aromas. Caramel, molasses, pastry notes. In the mouth, the sweetness is immediately present with vanilla all in finesse. And this may be the problem, it is too sweet even though this is usually the case with very old rum. You get the impression that he has not much to say, that he expressed all the complexity and then nothing ... We were disappointed and seen the price a lot of people prefer the 25th on the 20th Now this is always a matter of taste and nothing should be taken away from the work behind this quality rum. But for the same price jump on the Malteco 1987.
